Work Sessions Page
The work sessions page allows you to:
- View all work sessions.
- Create new work sessions.
- Assign jobs and workers to work sessions.
1. Create Work Session
Section titled “1. Create Work Session”Create a new work session by selecting the session type, the homebase (where the vehicle is leaving from) and number of sessions to create.
2. Status / User Filter
Section titled “2. Status / User Filter”Select a status or user to filter the work sessions by that status or user.
3. Session Management
Section titled “3. Session Management”The buttons in this group are for manipulating work sessions.
- Assign Mode: Opens up the session assignment mode.
- Drag & Drop Mode: Allows you to drag and drop jobs and workers between sessions (while in Assign Mode).
- Map Mode: Opens up a map displaying where the jobs are located and what session they are currently part of (see Map Mode).
4. Date Filter
Section titled “4. Date Filter”Select a date to filter the work sessions by that date.
5. Session List
Section titled “5. Session List”- Auto Assign + Ready: This button automatically assigns the user of each session and marks the session as ready.
6. Session Action Buttons:
Section titled “6. Session Action Buttons:”- Map: Opens the map showing the session job locations.
- Analyze: Opens the analysis page for the work session (see Session Analysis).
- Archive: Archives the session, this will turn the GPS points into a single file and lock the session.
- Delete: Deletes the session. Removing any GPS data that was connected to it.
7. Analyze Session
Section titled “7. Analyze Session”Opens the analysis page for the work session (see Session Analysis).
Map Mode
Section titled “Map Mode”Map mode allows you to view the location of jobs on a map to determine the best grouping of jobs for a work session.
The legend on the upper left corner displays groupings of jobs by color. Clicking on a job will open a callout that allows you to:
- View the location on google maps
- View the assigned work session
- View the map for that work session
- View the service location
- View the job entry
Assign Mode
Section titled “Assign Mode”Clicking on the “Assign” button under the “Manage Work Sessions” group will take you into assignment mode. Here you can assign jobs and workers to work sessions.
At the top of the screen is the currently unassigned jobs:

Section titled “Unassigned Jobs”
1. Bulk Assignment Checkbox
Section titled “1. Bulk Assignment Checkbox”Clicking the checkboxes on the left side of the assignments will select multiple jobs.
2. Bulk Assignment Dropdown
Section titled “2. Bulk Assignment Dropdown”Once you have selected multiple jobs, you can use the dropdown to assign all selected jobs to a work session. Use the dropdowns on the specific job rows to assign individual jobs.
3. Job Action buttons
Section titled “3. Job Action buttons”You can edit / delete a job using the corresponding button.
Sessions
Section titled “Sessions”
1. Expanded View
Section titled “1. Expanded View”Clicking this will open expanded view for the assigned jobs with more detailed information including:
- Time preference
- Worker preference
- Job Information
- Job travel details
- Service location contact info
2. Session Action Buttons
Section titled “2. Session Action Buttons”- Route: Opens the route in google maps.
- Estimator: Click this to get an estimation of the total travel distance and time given this job order.
- Order: Click this to automatically order the jobs in the session based Routing info allows you to see the route, the distance of the route and the total travel time between routes.
3. Assigned Jobs
Section titled “3. Assigned Jobs”List of all jobs in the session ordered sequetially by expected completion.
4. Preferred Weekday/Time
Section titled “4. Preferred Weekday/Time”5. Preferred Worker
Section titled “5. Preferred Worker”6. Travel Details
Section titled “6. Travel Details”This shows job duration information and the time it will take to return to the home location.
7. Estimates by Job
Section titled “7. Estimates by Job”This shows the estimated job time for each job in the session based upon x workers (configured value).
8. Assigned Workers
Section titled “8. Assigned Workers”This shows the workers assigned to the work session.
Drag & Drop
Section titled “Drag & Drop”Click the Drag & Drop mode icon (in the session management group). This will allow you to drag jobs and workers between sessions. Click and drag any worker or assigned job to move them to any other session.
